Global PhysEd Resources
This page will be dedicated to share resources I have made and used with my students. Please feel free to use them as you see fit. I hope they will also benefit you and you students as well.
Brain Based Exercise posters
These exercise posters are designed based on the work of Jean Blaydes Moize and Action Based Learning. I have used these posters as a warm up for my students and have shared them with classroom teachers to help facilitate brain boosts in class.
Breakout EDU - Superhero training
Breakout Edu is an immersive learning experience where students solve puzzles to open locks that will eventually solve a problem. In this lesson, students must work together to perform a variety of physical activity tasks and find clues that will help them open the box.
TGfU - Teaching Games for understanding
Teaching Games for Understanding is pedagogical approach that teaches games through playing games. These are some TGfU teaching strategies that i have used in my class, grades 3-5.
Social and Emotional Learning
Social-emotional learning (SEL), as defined by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) is “the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.”
In this section you will find the slides to a number of presentations I done in the past few years. Many have hyperlinks to additional resources. Please feel free to contact me if you would like any additional information.
